Feeder, Sheep - Walk Through This walk through sheep feeder is assembled in portable units 2.4 m (8 ft) long. The sections may be placed end to end to provide a continuous hay and grain feeder. The feeder may be placed to divide the barn into pens either lengthwise or across the bedded area. Two pieces of 38 x 140 mm (2 x 6 in.) planking are fastened to the floor of the feeder; this provides a walkway for the operator for feeding and observation of the flock. |

Feeder, Hay and Grain - Walk Through This plan gives construction details for a 2400 mm (8 ft) long walk through hay and grain sheep feeder. Constructing this feeder with both ends open allows the operator to walk through when feeders are placed end to end. The space below the feeder floor can be closed off to prevent lambs from crawling underneath to another pen. If the feeder is solely for lambs, its legs can be shortened to provide proper throat height. |
