R-NYW0409 - The Lowboy Woodworking Plan Featuring Norm Abram
If you are familiar with the Highboy furniture piece, the Lowboy is basically the lower half. Some folks call it a Dressing Table as its been used for that purpose. You will often find these Lowboy furniture pieces with a small drawer off to either side of a center drawer that usually features a decorative carved face. There is also a long narrow drawer tucked under the table top. Norm found his inspiration to build this one from a visit at a museum in Concord, MA, USA. He chose to purchase pre-made ball and claw table legs and a selection of quality cherry lumber.
