Table, Poker - Robert Kellys
Most of this tutorial teaches you how to apply your foam, fabric, and vinyl to the table. Maui Poker has put together a great page on how to cut out and build your table. Before you go any further, you can visit his site to learn the first steps. I did a few things different but pretty much ended up with the same result.

A simple design with no-nonsense mortise and tenon joinery makes this table an irresistible project. You say you have never tried to cut a mortise and tenon joint before? Well this attractive Craftsman-style table might be a great place to start. Like most Craftsman-style pieces, this table sticks to the basics. It is mostly just straight lines and straightforward joinery. Mortise and tenon joinery is one of the cornerstones of woodworking. And once you get a good feel for it, you are well on your way to building this classic little table.

Trebuchet Downloadable Woodworking Plan PDF
Trebuchet Trivia. A trebuchet (pronounced treb-you-SHET) was a medieval device used to hurl large stones and other heavy projectiles at enemy fortifications. Using the mechanical advantage of a counterweight to rotate an arm, the device could heave objects up to 350 pounds at high speed and hundreds of feet. The projectile was placed into a sling that was pulled along the platform. When released, the sling and arm rapidly rotated to the vertical position, where one end of the sling came free, releasing the projectile. This trebuchet measures approximately 5 inches wide, 12 inches long, and 17.5 inches high with the arm at the top position.

Tablesaw Fence Sled, Multi Purpose
When it comes to cutting tenons on the end of a workpiece, I usually use the table saw fitted with a dado blade. The problem with this method is that the cheeks of the tenons can end up pretty rough.

Jig, Rip Fence Setup Gauge
When setting the rip fence on my table saw, I used to check the distance between the fence and my saw blade with a tape measure. But trying to hold the end of the tape against the rip fence and adjust it at the same time took more coordination than I could muster. So instead, I made a simple set-up gauge.
