7 Drawer Lingerie Chest Woodworking Plan
Seven spacious drawers in this lithe Shaker-style chest create a piece of furniture that is as practical as it is beautiful. Assemble the case quickly using glue and biscuits, and then machine the drawer parts with simple tablesaw setups. It matches our pencil-post bedroom suite but will fit into many decorating schemes. (*Also available on PlansNOW) The bed is designed to fit a queen-size mattress, but these plans include variations for a full-size and twin-size mattress. The Classic Cherry Bed is 71 inches wide by 88-1/2 inches deep by 45 inches high (queen-size).

Bed, Deluxe Day
I found myself in a predicament-not having enough beds for my kids and their children when they stopped by for an overnight visit. My wife and I liked the idea of a day bed, but all we could find were either fancy brass or painted metal ones. I got the bed I really wanted by buying an inexpensive trundle bed, salvaging the mattress frames from it, and building a custom surround for them. - Jim Downing

This four-post bed can be made for a conventional mattress and box spring or for a water-filled mattress. Instructions, material lists and cutting diagrams for four sizes (king, queen, double/full and single/twin) are included in the plans. Detailed drawings show special cuts and fastening methods. Pine, fir, cedar or hardwoods may be used for the frame and cutting the parts and assembling can be accomplished with handheld tools. Two different post designs are also provided. Bed, Mission Style - 3 sizes can be made
Three sizes of beds in a Mission influenced style can be built using these plans -- a twin, double, and queen size. Details for all three are included with materials lists. The vertical slats, long brackets, and peaked crest rail on the head and footboards are features of this style. The headboard is 44 inches high, the footboard is 33 inches high. View all joinery in full size and enjoy doing this intermediate level project. Easy to expand or shrink to any size with just a little planning. All joinery is shown in actual size, curved workpieces are all in full size and you can measure and trace straight from the drawing. A bill of materials doubles as an exact cutting list, there is a detailed exploded diagram, and all hardware requirements are provided. The exploded diagram is so detailed that project specific assembly instructions are not provided. A special booklet entitled Guide to Building Wood Furniture is included with each plan and includes many tips explaining the component theory of woodworking.
