Bakers Rack Designer says - Perhaps the most used item I have built. A tall bakers rack is good to have around the kitchen to display pictures and hold all sorts of things. On mine, sides of top surround float ( no glue) in dados in solid wood top to allow for expansion of top. Caution: this can be a difficult project to assemble all at once without some pre-planning. - This is a link to a Google 3D SketchUp drawing. You will need the SketchUp software to download this drawing and its freely available online. We do not provide support for this software. Not all drawings have the measurements displayed but you can use the measurement tool in SketchUp to easily and accurately determine the dimensions of each lumber part. Most drawings do not have instructions, its assumed you can build it based on the completed drawing provided.

Butcher Block Countertop Butcher-block kitchen countertops have traditionally been very popular and these days are often used as companion tops with other materials, such as solid-surface tops. In addition to their aesthetic appearance, they can receive hot pans without damage. You can make up your own butcher-block countertop, or the same technique can be used to create cutting boards, or a top for a roll-around cart.
