Bamboo Water Feature Here’s a water garden that’s different! Bamboo is used for a water spout and sluices, ending up in a small pond. It gives you the effect of a waterfall, the murmur of trickling water, but is much easier to build.

Cart, Garden Tool Toting shovels, rakes, hoes, fertilizer, soil or other tools and materials to the garden site is made easy with this cart, which will also double as a lightweight handtruck. A tray in the back can be used to hold small tools. I have also found the cart excellent for doing concrete work when I need to organize a variety of tools in one spot.

Garden Bamboo Fountain The shishi odoshi, a traditional Japanese fountain, was originally used to scare away deer who would otherwise feed on tender shoots in rice paddies. I can not vouch for its efficiency at keeping herds of marauding deer from your daisies, but I will say the motion of this fountain is pleasantly mesmerizing.

Garden Screen Have you ever wanted your air-conditioning unit or some other unsightly object to disappear from your landscape? One possibility is to hide it behind a fence, but a fence is so ... permanent. We offer another option: A folding screen that can be stored when not in use. This hinged, rough-cut cedar screen also doubles as a plant stand and holder. It is simple to construct, and you do not need a shop full of tools. When you visit this BHG site you might be prompted with an advertisement first. Just ignore that, look for a link that says Continue or something like that.
