Most solid surface countertop materials can only be installed by installers licensed by the manufacturer or distributor. One of the main reasons is traditional solid surface countertops are fabricated by building up 1/2-inch-thick materials with underlayment to create the appearance of thicker materials, then cutting and gluing-up a front edge, much in the same manner as a plastic laminate top over a plywood subsurface. Both procedures are labor intensive. |

Since the pioneer days, the kitchen and more specifically the kitchen table, has been the heart of the home. This trestle table design follows the footsteps of its Colonial predecessors. Simple construction but a sturdy design, we have matched it up with a bench design that is so comfortable we are sure you will make more than one. Combine two benches and a pair of chairs at either end and this table easily seats six. You can even fit 3 people per bench for larger gatherings. The tusk (also called the key) tenon used to pull the table joints together are not only functional but attractive too. Back in the day when space was tight, and still is nowadays, this table could be knocked-down, stored away and quickly put back together when guests show up. The tenons are super easy to make and even easier to put in place. |
