Pine Doll Cradle

I made this pine doll cradle as a Christmas gift for my 2.5 year old daughter. I made the dimensions up as I went along - I just kind of built it around one of her dolls. The dimensions are given below.

The corners are all hand cut dovetails (although they don't show up in this poorly scanned picture). The solid bottom sits in a dado to allow for expansion and contraction. I used buttonlac for a finish. It gives the cradle a real nice aged look, although I have to admit the finish looks awful up close. It was my first time using shellac and I'm lousy at brushed finishes anyway.
