Cabinet, Entertainment Center - Sectional Options (PDF) When designing the Sectional Entertainment Center in issue No. 136, we decided to use hard maple, as you can see in the photo above. But we could have just as easily chosen another type of wood to build it out of. This alternate design option is available to download in this Online Extra.
|
Cabinet, Entertainment Unit - Coastal Style The handles of this entertainment unit are made of driftwood, and the unit is made of pine-veneered particleboard with solid timber edging. Particle board is strong, easily worked and holds nails and scews well.

Cabinet, Entertainment Center - Tansu (PDF) These are not step by step plans with precise layouts and joinery. I simply draw up the final dimensions and make decisions about joinery when I begin construction.

Cabinet, Custom Home Entertainment Center Here, Rita Brockway, who is ready to learn a little something about power tools and home improvement, is eagerly awaiting Ron’s arrival. Rita has an alcove in her living room that would be perfect for a built-in home entertainment center. She needs a place for her television, VCR and stereo, and she would also like to store books, knick-knacks, and various other items.

Entertainment Center, Custom For this segment of HouseCalls, Ron’s traveling toolbox arrives in Windermere, Florida, located near the Orlando area. Here, Rita Brockway, who is ready to learn a little something about power tools and home improvement, is eagerly awaiting Ron’s arrival.

Cabinet, Entertainment Center Televisions, VCRs, DVDs, cable boxes, satellite receivers, stereos and video games are personal entertainment mainstays. Walk into most homes and you’ll find electronic equipment stacked to the ceiling. There will likely be various pieces perched precariously one upon the other and a jumble of wires and cords. If this sounds like your living room, build yourself an entertainment center. You can organize your electronics and hone your woodworking skills all at once. Building an entertainment center is challenging for most beginners and a good confidence builder for intermediate level woodworkers. The project should only take a couple of weekends.

Cabinet, Entertainment Center This entertainment center is a rather primitive affair, as it is an “open-plan” design with no doors. This free woodworking plans and projects information is courtesy of the Shop-For-Wood-Working-Tools web site.
|
Cabinet, Entertainment Before tackling this project, understand that it is for a more advanced woodworker. The need for non-standard thicknesses of hardwood joined in intricate ways demands advanced skill and surgically-sharp tools. But if you’re up to the challenge, this project will be a stunning centrepiece for your home. This free woodworking plans information was courtesy of the Canadian HomeWorkshop web site.

Cabinet, Entertainment (PDF) Please note, cutting diagram only.
|
Cabinet, Entertainment Center This handsome and unique entertainment center provides ample storage for all your home electronics, yet is relatively compact — 5 ft. high and less than 7 ft. wide. The three-unit design features a 20 inch deep center unit spacious enough to hold a large television set, and two 16 inch deep end units ideal for storing stereo speakers, tapes, CDs, and books.
|
Cabinet, Entertainment Center The design allowed me to employ a curved design, rather than the more typical straight edges, and this reduced the unit’s presence in the room -- as the room is rather small, this was deemed to be very important.
|
Cabinet, Corner Entertainment Center With this project we are revisiting an earlier theme: how to make a TV (and its associated VCR, Cable box and other paraphernalia) less intrusive in a fairly small room. While the popular approach is typically to hide everything behind a large entertainment center, we remain unconvinced that this is the best approach. Instead, we offer the following TV solution that leaves the television in full view while hiding all of the other equipment. This free woodworking plans and woodworkers projects information is courtesy of the Am-Wood web site.
