This End Table matches the shelf from a few weeks ago – see last step. As with the shelf, the design is simple, easy to make and is relatively low cost (under $25).

Step 1: Tools/Materials

Tools:

Table or Miter Saw
Drill/Bits
Tape measure
Sander

Materials:

2" x 12" x 4' (x1) *A 2x12 should be 1.5” x 11.25” – Ours came in at 1.5” x 11”. Verify this dimension before cutting the pieces.
2" x 4" x 10' (x2)
1" x 4" x 8' (x1)
Screws or Nails
Wood Glue
Stain or Paint

Step 2: Drawing

You will be building to this drawing. Note that everything is color coded for easy reference.

Step 3: Cut Lumber

A table saw was used for all of the straight cuts. A miter saw was used for the 45 degree angles.

Step 4: Leg Assembly - Step 1

Attach 3 vertical supports to the 1x6 spacers as shown. Nails or screws can be used. Countersink the holes if screws are used. Note that glue is used in addition for every joint on the build.

Step 5: Leg Assembly - Step 2

Add the angled spacer as shown.

Step 6: Leg Assembly - Step 3

Add the feet to the bottom side of the angled spacer as shown. Repeat process to build another leg assembly.

Step 7: Top Assembly

Attach the other 2 angle spacers to back side of the top pieces as shown.

Step 8: Leg Attachment

Attach leg assemblies to top assembly as shown.

Step 9: Sand

The table was stained using PolyShades Classic Black Satin Stain and Polyurethane from Minwax.
